Senior Group Accountant - Asx Top 50

T+O+M Executive and I are working exclusively with a large ASX Top 50 infrastructure business to help hire a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant position to join the Group Finance function. This group is well-known within the industry with a portfolio over $20 billion worth of assets across Australia.This role will be the 2IC to the current Financial Reporting Manager and will work closely with group executives and the board.Role responsibilities:

• Preparation of financial statements and reporting for the group, subsidiaries and investments to senior leadership and the board
• Investor Presentation, ASX, Annual Report and detailed analysis to support the CEO and CFO
• Contribute to the half & full-year external audit process
• Managing the monthly general ledger reconciliation process and other month-end items
• Perform intercompany reconciliations and group consolidation
• Provide accounting support to the Financial and Commercial Accounting teams.
• Help to drive process and system improvements to enhance the financial reporting

About you:

• CA or CPA qualified with hands on ASX reporting experience within a large, complex business
• External audit background with 2 to 3 years of commercial accounting experience is desired
• A go-getter with excellent communication skills and problem-solving ability
• Technical understanding of IFRS application
