The role:
Our growing Assurance team is seeking a Senior Group Auditor to support the planning, execution and reporting of internal audit work across the Snowy Hydro Group (Generation, Retail, Major Projects and Corporate).
You will collaborate with the broader Assurance team to provide assurance and value-add services on aspects of internal control, governance and risk management supported by internal and/or external resources as necessary. You will undertake internal audit activities (planning and fieldwork), analyse, assess, evaluate and conclude on the effectiveness and efficiency of the control environment as well as aid the implementation of improvement opportunities for the Assurance Framework.
The role can be Sydney or Melbourne based and reports into the Group Head of Assurance.
We're looking for someone with:
A relevant Bachelor's Degree & CA/ CPA, CIA or equivalent qualification
5+ years audit experience and comprehensive understanding of internal audit principles, methodologies and risk based auditing
Strong analytical skills and ability to manage competing priorities
Experience engaging with employees at different levels within an organisation
Versatile interpersonal skills and communication styles to facilitate a healthy and constructive working relationship with stakeholders
Effective negotiation and influencing skills
An understanding of the energy sector and applicable regulatory requirements (desirable)
