Position Description
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Guidewire Engineer to take a lead role in crafting and implementing Guidewire applications. The ideal candidate should bring a robust background in the Guidewire product suite, coupled with exceptional problem-solving skills and leadership acumen. As a Senior Guidewire Engineer, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver top-notch solutions aligned with our clients' business objectives.
Responsibilities
-Spearhead the design and development of Guidewire applications, encompassing configuration, integration, and customization of the Guidewire product suite.
-Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to meticulously gather and analyze requirements.
-Provide technical leadership, guiding a team of engineers in best practices and ensuring the successful project delivery.
-Conduct comprehensive code reviews, mentor junior team members, and actively contribute to refining development processes.
-Work in tandem with quality assurance teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
-Effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues, offering timely and efficient solutions.
-Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in Guidewire and the insurance domain.
Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
-Proven track record as a Guidewire Developer with expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and/or ClaimCenter.
-In-depth understanding of the insurance domain and associated business processes.
-Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring development teams.
-Proficiency in Java and Gosu programming languages.
-Solid grasp of web services, databases, and system integration.
-Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Guidewire certification(s) considered a plus.
