Position Description
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Guidewire Engineer to take a lead role in crafting and implementing Guidewire applications. The ideal candidate should bring a robust background in the Guidewire product suite, coupled with exceptional problem-solving skills and leadership acumen. As a Senior Guidewire Engineer, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver top-notch solutions aligned with our clients' business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Spearhead the design and development of Guidewire applications, encompassing configuration, integration, and customization of the Guidewire product suite.
- Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to meticulously gather and analyze requirements.
- Provide technical leadership, guiding a team of engineers in best practices and ensuring the successful project delivery.
- Conduct comprehensive code reviews, mentor junior team members, and actively contribute to refining development processes.
- Work in tandem with quality assurance teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
- Effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues, offering timely and efficient solutions.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in Guidewire and the insurance domain.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven track record as a Guidewire Developer with expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and/or ClaimCenter.
- In-depth understanding of the insurance domain and associated business processes.
- Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring development teams.
- Proficiency in Java and Gosu programming languages.
- Solid grasp of web services, databases, and system integration.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Guidewire certification(s) considered a plus.
