As the Senior Health and Safety Technical Writer, your key responsibilities will include:
Coordinate the review and update of key injury management process documentation, eg. the re-employment process following employment separation with unresolved health issues.
Review current legislation, directives and procedures to ensure appropriate updates to the content of the processes and supporting documentation.
Consult and collaborate with stakeholders regarding updates to processes and supporting documentation, in order to address pain points experienced by injury management staff with recent complex cases.
Prepare instructions and consult with Legal Services to obtain legal advice on updates to process documentation.
Update and develop supporting information resources, including guidelines and training materials for departmental injury management and human resources staff.
Support and coordinate liaison, communication and interaction with other teams across the department, where there are overlapping touch points with injury management processes.
Monitor progress and report on status of outputs and action items.
