What you'll be doing
The Westmead neurophysiology Department provides inpatient and outpatient Neuro-diagnostic services. The inpatient EEG, NCS/EMG and EP service includes patients from Westmead, Blacktown, Mt Druitt, Auburn, and Cumberland Hospital. The department is actively involved in training and the development of new Neurophysiological techniques and research.
The Westmead Neurophysiology Department is part of the Neurology Department, which is which the Division of Critical Care Medicine, Westmead Hospital.
It is expected that there is an equitable split between the clinical and administrative functions of this role.

Essential Criteria
Qualification: Bachelor of Medical Science
Selection Criteria * Bachelor of Medical Science, RMIT Diploma of Health Science, Clinical Neurophysiology or such qualifications as the Health Administration Corporation deems equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to teach Neurophysiological procedures to other scientists and/or trainee medical staff.
  • Solid working knowledge of digital EEG software
  • Excellent organisational and management skills
  • Demonstrated experience in management of a Neurophysiology service
  • Understanding of the management of patient complaints including maintaining patient privacy
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders
