Senior Ict Category Specialist (Qitc Focus)

About Our Client
Alchemy Recruitment Consulting is partnering with one of industry leaders within the energy and utilities industry to look for a Senior Category Specialist to look after the ICT category.

What You Will Do:

1. Strategic Planning and Development:
   
   • Develop Supply Functional and Strategic Plans aligned with the Corporate Business Plan.
   • Develop Sourcing Strategies, Category Plans, and Procurement Plans to optimize outcomes across the procurement portfolio.
2. Risk Management and Governance:
   
   • Identify and manage commercial, contractual, operational, financial, reputational, ethical, and supply chain risks to minimize negative impacts on category objectives.
   • Demonstrate commercial outcomes for complex contracts, ensuring adherence to State Procurement Policies and maintaining good governance.
3. Sourcing and Supplier Management:
   
   • Manage sourcing strategies and supply market risks to achieve "best value for money" outcomes.
   • Negotiate with suppliers and contractors during the tender process, ensuring optimal acquisition methods, pricing, deliveries, and product specifications.
4. Project Procurement and Implementation:
   
   • Develop procurement plans and strategies supporting capital and operational expenditure projects.
   • Manage complex project procurement events, ensuring seamless transition from strategic project procurement to operational implementation.
5. Leadership and Team Management:
   
   • Manage a team of Category Specialists, Category Advisors, and relevant support staff within the assigned portfolio.
   • Support team members through mentoring and coaching discussions

What You Will Bring:

• 5 years or above experience in development and implementation of category management plans for complex contractual agreements for ICT products and services
• Previous experience in end-to-end ICT sourcing, including preparing, issuing, and evaluating tender documents, for a broad range of software, hardware and services.
• Strong background in using QITC framework and other contract precedents
• Strong negotiation and project management skills
