Our client is seeking a seasoned professional to take on the role of a Senior Industrial Designer in a dynamic and fast-growing Perth based company. Role and Responsibilities
As a Senior Industrial Designer, you will be taking ideas from conceptualisation to realisation. We are looking for an inquisitive and enthusiastic individual who excels in finding unique and elegant solutions for consumer challenges through exceptional design. Your expertise should span all stages of the design process, including conceptualisation, prototyping, high-fidelity aesthetic design crafting, and support for scaled production efforts. You will be a strategic thinker, actively working with key features, collaborating with management, product managers, and development teams.

• Develop and drive innovative, market-leading design concepts that are on-trend, cost-effective, and suitable for production
• Collaborate with the design team and product managers
• Incorporate factors such as new technology, safety, quality, and ergonomics into designs
• Demonstrate a high proficiency in creating detailed tech packs for reference by all teams
• Solve customer product challenges through design solutions, addressing internal component configurations and overall appearance
• Distil feedback from management, internal stakeholders, design teams, and customers when creating design solutions
• Ensure product positioning in the market, predict new customer trends and keep designs user focused
• Develop products using conceptual sketching, 3D model making, rapid prototyping, and CAD modelling, leveraging photorealistic rendering and visualisation software tools
• Be independent and team-oriented
• Seek out user data, proven design patterns, and coworking input
• Manage and lead multiple projects, prioritising different tasks in a fast-paced environment

Your Skills and Experience

• A bachelor degree in Industrial Design or equivalent
• 7-10 years of related work experience within industrial design and end-to-end product development
• Knowledge of working in the European market
• Experience managing and leading multiple projects
• Able work both independently and in support of team outcomes
• Highly competent working with industry-standard tools: from freehand sketching skills to CAD software, including Solidworks, Autodesk Fusion, Sketchbook Pro, Keyshot 10, Adobe Creative Suite, Miro, and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of material and manufacturing processes
• Display elf-motivation and excellence across all stages of the design process –
• Possess a portfolio that impresses – demonstrating a clear understanding of solving complex user problems
• Strategic thinking – demonstrable ability to see the big picture and how your role influences the overall product roadmap
