The Role
As Senior Industrial Designer, you will join a growing design team delivering innovative and commercially viable products from concept through to manufacturing and production hand-over, seeing your products on the retail shelf.
Responsibilities will include:
- Develop commercial and innovative product design solutions that are customer centric and designed for manufacturing efficiency and standards
- Project manage the product development process from concept / ideation to successful completion, providing design lead solutions that are both functional, innovative and commercially viable
- Work closely with manufacturing partners and suppliers to foster strong strategic partnerships and ensure projects are completed to commercial budgets and time frames
- Conduct testing and market reviews to understand industry innovation trends, competitor landscape and new product technologies
- Strong demonstrated experience in an Industrial Designer role, designing consumer led product for manufacture
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, utilizing project management tools and processes
- Experience in 3D CAD software including SolidWorks
- Strong understanding of manufacturing techniques including injection moulding and a broad range of materials
- Strong financial acumen with a true understanding of commercial viability and ROI
- High level interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with and present effectively to various stakeholders
