Holmes Institute, a private Institute of Higher Education, delivering both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Gold Coast, is seeking a Senior Information Systems Academic for its Gold Coast campus.
This position will be a member of a team responsible for the delivery of the Bachelor of Information Systems, the Master of Information Systems and the Master of Cyber Security at Holmes Institute. This job entails teaching in a number of areas, supervision of curriculum development, and the ongoing participation in the development of the Information Systems department.
Applicants will have:
- PhD in Information Systems or related field. Alternatively, a Master's degree in Information Systems or related plus 10 years industry experience at a senior level.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of the operations, processes and procedures of information technology.
- Extensive experience in the higher education sector.
- Specialised knowledge in Information Systems management, cyber security, project management, systems analysis and design, database malmanagement.
The ability to teach in a number of the following areas:-
- Enterprise Systems
- Web Applications Development
- Web Design
- Database Design
- Business Intelligence
- Project Management
- Cybersecurity
- Information Systems Strategy
- Professional Issues in IS Ethics & Practice
- Capstone Unit
