Job description

Job Description An integrity investigations firms is looking for a Senior Investigator in their Melbourne practice to support the delivery of work for their clients nationally. You will be responsible for the delivery or work to some of their major accounts across Australia and to also support their national team as required.
The responsibilities of the role are, but not limited to the following:

  • Work within a team of multi-skilled peers to plan, scope and undertake client assignments across a range of our services including forensic investigations, corporate compliance, delivery of whistleblower programs and fraud, corruption, risk management and workplace people centric based investigations.
  • Undertake comprehensive forensic investigations into:
  • Fraud, corruption, and other financial crimes.
  • Workplace bullying, sexual harassment, and misconduct.
  • Insurance related matters (health insurance, workers compensation, CTP).
  • Extract, obtain and review electronic data, accounting, financial and non-financial records to identify evidence.
  • Manage individual workload within set time / financial parameters for each client engagement. This includes the completion of timesheets.
  • Prepare and deliver high quality client deliverables such as comprehensive investigation reports.
  • Present findings to clients as required.
  • Interact and work with client personnel, legal representatives, witnesses, and regulators.
  • Contribute to the development of thought leadership material and other business development activities.
  • Prepare and deliver workplace training and awareness for topics such as investigations principles and methodology, investigative interviewing, sexual harassment, and psychosocial safety awareness.
Qualifications, skills, and experience required:
  • Diploma in Government / Criminal Investigations.
  • Licensed Private Investigator.
  • Bachelor’s degree in any relevant disciple (e.g. law, accounting, business, data analytics).
  • Can work independently and as part of a team.
  • Can manage multiple engagements with multiple clients concurrently and prioritise their work tasks accordingly.
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail, and well-developed analytical and conceptual skills.
  • Demonstrates emotional intelligence and strong people leadership skills.
  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Has experience in financial crime and/or insurance investigations.
