Our client is a major Financial Services organisation dedicated to shaping a world where people and communities thrive. As a Senior Internal Audit Manager, you will play a crucial role in achieving this purpose by improving customers' financial wellbeing and ensuring the effectiveness of their control environment. This role involves undertaking audit projects central to the annual audit plan, providing valuable insights, and collaborating with management to develop sustainable solutions in areas such as finance, treasury, regulatory, and delivery risk management. A particular area of focus of this role is Financial Crime (AML, CTF and Sanctions) and the successful candidate will lead key Group reviews and provide support to reviews across various geographies and product lines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake audit projects of medium size and/or medium to high complexity in line with the annual Audit Plan.
• Provide challenge and insights on the control environment, engaging with management to develop sustainable solutions.
• Focus on key areas such as Talent & Culture, Treasury, Finance, Procurement, Operational Risk & Compliance Management and Credit Risk Modelling.
• Manage stakeholder relationships effectively, including negotiation, influencing, and conflict management skills.
• Review specific business areas, assessing the adequacy and appropriateness of risk controls in place.
• Contribute to the Bank's response and approach to regulatory expectations through audit review activity.
• Demonstrate resilience and the ability to overcome resistance to change, delivering on assigned goals.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Tertiary qualified, ideally with Professional (CPA/CA) and/or Post Graduate qualifications.
• Technical skills in accounting, audit, operational risk, and compliance.
• Proven stakeholder management, negotiation, and conflict management skills.
• Project management skills, including working with multiple stakeholders and complex subject matter.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective delivery of audit messages and recommendations.
• Experience in supporting and overcoming resistance to change.
• Data skills with an awareness of approaches for analysing and interpreting data.
