The opportunity
We have an opportunity for a Senior Internal Auditor to join our Group Internal Audit team covering our Australia Pacific operations. The role will offer a broad view across the business with a range and variety of work.
The successful candidate will be provided with a superb opportunity to work as part of an effective and well-regarded team, ensuring all significant risks of the business are being adequately and appropriately mitigated by management, and to provide value to the business through commercially sound audit recommendations.
Your new role
You will utilise your skill set to, amongst other things:
Effectively carry out risk-based planning of audits, including gathering of information, performing risk assessments, and design of appropriate test steps.
Deliver high quality audits across a range of business units and shared services.
Prepare audit findings and internal audit reports, and assist management in developing commercially sound actions to address issues raised.
Proactively manage your workload to deliver high quality audits and assist the wider team where needed.
Build and maintain effective ongoing working relationships with the team, management and stakeholders.
About you
You have experience in internal or external audit, gained in a professional services firm or industry.
You’ve preferably achieved or are working towards post-graduate qualifications such as CA/CPA.
You have a strong understanding of risk and internal control concepts, in particular relating to insurance and/or financial services more generally.
You have excellent report writing and presentation skills, and well-developed analytical and problem solving skills.
You are proactive, are adaptable to working in a changing environment, and have the ability to prioritise and multi-task effectively.
