The Opportunity

We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Internal Auditor to join our Legal & Governance team in Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the Manager Internal Audit, you will play a critical role in planning, executing and reporting on internal audits whilst adding value through independent insight by bringing an innovative and growth mindset to new ways of working.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery of audits in accordance with the methodology. This includes review of critical risk exposures, strategic projects, value-added activities and adherence to legislative and regulatory requirements
Coordinate the reporting of audit findings and agreement of actions with management
Work closely with the Manager Internal Audit to resolve conflicting priorities and ensure a good outcome for Internal Audit and the business
Identify potential risks and related issues by applying knowledge of industry trends and emerging risk factors
Stay-up to date with new developments across the profession (e.g. new techniques, procedures, processes) and present relevant ideas for consideration at APA
About You
Tertiary qualification in relevant field (e.g. business, economics, engineering, project management, psychology)
Professional qualification such as CA, IIA, PMP, CISA (desirable)
Seasoned experience in delivering internal audits and understanding of the infrastructure/energy industry
Strong knowledge of audit methodologies and techniques, such as flowcharting, interviewing and presentation of findings
Commercial acumen coupled with the ability to interpret and communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
