About the Business – Risk and AuditServices
Risk and Audit Services is responsible forthe delivery of high quality independent and objectiveinternal audit, assurance, risk management and complianceservices to the Department of the Premier and Cabinet. Italso supports the department’s Risk and PerformanceCommittee.

Role Details
The Senior Internal Auditor isaccountable to the Manager, Risk and Performance for the provisionof specialist internal audit and advisory services in accordancewith the Department of the Premier and Cabinet (DPC) Risk andPerformance Committee ToR, Internal Audit Charter and AnnualInternal Audit Work Plan.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide expert advice, support and recommendations to management and staff on a range of complex audit, risk and compliance matters, in accordance with established government policies and procedures, legislative requirements and professional standards.
- Undertake complex assurance and advisory projects in accordance with applicable professional standards.
- Implement and continuously refine DPC Corporate Governance frameworks by encouraging and negotiating best and preferred practice in management controls.
- Develop, implement and continuously refine the efficiency and effectiveness of the DPC Internal Audit function.
- Contribute to the achievement of DPC’s objectives, goals and priorities, through the application of specialist audit, risk and compliance related knowledge, expertise and experience.
- Participate in meetings and provide secretariat support services to the DPC Risk and Performance Committee.
Special Conditions
- The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.
- The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
- Some work outside of normal hours may be required.
- This role requires a National Police Clearance.
- Formal relevant tertiary qualification. CPA, CA and IIA membership is highly desirable
