The Opportunity

AMP Investments is a large and experienced multi-manager business with clients across retail, institutional and corporate super. The role will involve retaining, maintaining, and expanding AMP’s adviser funds under management by supporting our financial planning clients and prospect. This will be achieved by providing training and “in field” support to AMP’s inhouse distribution team as well as supporting advisers where AMP Investments has a direct relationship. The role would be suitable for someone who is technically minded, with strong distribution and sales skills.

Main focus areas

Support the realisation of the AMP business plans to retain, maintain, and expand funds under management.
Provide training and “in field” support to AMP’s inhouse distribution salesforce in Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia
Manage AMP’s direct to adviser relationships in Victoria, South Australia, and Western Australia.
Project manage internal teams to support adviser communications such as webinars, events, training, and standard pitch books.
Presenting to adviser groups on key multi manager funds.
Responding to internal and external adviser queries that relate to multi manager funds.
Participating in projects across AMP Capital to drive strategic initiatives.
Manage internal AMP relationships to support an effective sales process.

Experience and qualifications required

5 + years of relevant investment experience within an Investment Manager.
A demonstrated understanding of technical aspects of investments.
A demonstrated understanding of relationship management and distribution.
Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills - ability to establish close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and clients and knowledge of key stakeholder domains from front office through to back office.
Results orientated with a strong focus on continuous self-improvement and learning.
Commercial acumen and ability to agitate for high quality outcomes.
Ability to collaborate, influence and work effectively within a team environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
The ability to manage and successfully contribute to projects and cross functional working groups.
Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. finance or commerce qualification)
