About Information and Digital Services

Information and Digital Services (IDS) are a pivotal resource of the University, providing information and digital technology services and support to the Flinders University staff and student community. The IDS team apply technical expertise to support university projects and provide core services such as the IDS Service Desk, Audio visual, simulation and event services, Information security and identity access management services and more.

About the Role

We have multiple openings within our Student and Financial Management Platforms team as the Senior IDS Platforms Analyst & Coordinator. These roles vary in responsibilities as they specialise in different areas within the TechOne environment such as Financial Management (CES) and/or the upgrade of the Student Management systems.

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for conducting analysis, support and coordination activities related to the ongoing operation and development of the relevant platforms and applications.

Some of the key responsibilities or the position are:

  • Coordinating the technical change, configuration and release management process for the relevant platforms and applications in alignment with IDS frameworks, principles, and standards.
  • Conducting requirements analysis activities, interpreting business requirements, and translating into technical requirements. Conducting business change impact analysis to identify appropriate change management activities to support system changes.
  • Supporting the development of business cases for new or enhanced technologies and solutions to support the delivery of the roadmap.
  • Supporting the relevant stakeholders in developing and implementing the vision and associated roadmap for the platform and applications.

About You

As the successful candidate, you have experience in the ERP systems, particularly TechOne finance and student management systems. Knowledge of SQL, Crystal reports and Higher education experience is highly desirable.

You are a driven professional with a growth mindset who can work well autonomously and as well as part of a team. You are a self-starter who consistently shows great initiatives to get tasks/projects done on a timely manner.

  • High level thinking, planning, and analytical skills to support outcomes and meet the University's strategic goals.
  • Well-developed skills in contributing to a team reaching its full potential, including well developed interpersonal and relationship management skills.
  • General experience in dealing with customer relationships and expectations.
  • Significant experience in supporting and maintaining Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications and Software as a service and enterprise applications and systems.
  • Broad knowledge and experience in the design and execution of application upgrades including planning, test plan, execution and program close out using good change management principles and practices.
