Senior Laundry Attendnant

The Washateria is a 24 hour self serve laundromat located in the Strath Hill Shopping Center in Kennington. The washateria has Tap and Go, remote start (by washateria staff), CCTV that is monitored, as well as provides a morning wash fluff and fold service (WFF). 

The Washateria prides itself on being the cleanest laundromat in Bendigo being hygienically cleaned daily. The Laundromat is always attended by staff between 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM to provide assistance to the public.  All employees work part time as casual employees or under an ABN. 

The Washeteria is seeking the services of a “Senior Laundry Attendant”. The Senior Laundry Attendant must have a high level of confidence with computers as well as a sound understanding of industrial cleaning chemicals. 

The duties of the Senior Laundry attendant are:

·         Prior to attending laundromat, assess number of WFF jobs to undertaken

·         Call in laundry attendants as required

·         Prior to washing, hygienically clean washing machines

·         Open WFF electronic lockers by onsite computer

·         Start washing a number of WFF jobs

·         Hygienically clean dryers

·         Start dying WFF jobs for other laundry attendants to fold as they arrive.

·         Complete cleaning washers and driers.

·         Complete WFF washing and drying

·         Track loads between washers and dyers and lockers for attendants

·         Clean floors, windows

·         Check booking kiosk and vending machine for coin and receipt paper.

·         Book each WFF by computer so customer is alerted for pick up.

·         Clean floors again

·         Always leave 3 machines available for the public.

The duties would generally be for a minimum of 2 days unless the other Senior Laundry attendants are absent, then there could be an additional 2 or 3 days. 

The Senior Laundry Attendant also carries The Washateria phone for customer problems such as breakdowns or WFF enquiries. The phone allows CCTV and remote start of dryers and Washing Machines . The Washaterias have the services of a part time Laundry Mechanic who can be alerted via group chat. 

The role would suit an organised person seeking part time work. 

The person must have a high level of confidence with computers as well as a sound understanding of industrial cleaning chemicals .
