About the role
The Senior Lawyer role sits within the Commercial Court Registry (CCR) of the Supreme Court of Victoria. The CCR delivers high quality, innovative, responsive and flexible support to the judiciary and members of the legal profession.
Senior Lawyers work as part of a small team who:
- Triage and manage urgent applications;
- Undertake a variety of written work to assist judicial officers, including writing case summaries and detailed analysis of legislation, precedents and legal developments;
- Provide legal support to the Judicial Registrar, Associate Judges and Judges of the Commercial Court;
- Contribute to the development and reform of Commercial Court processes; and
- Mentor and provide support and advice to other members of the CCR team.

About you
- Tertiary qualifications in law and admission to practice is essential.
- Commercial litigation and/or corporate law practice or experience highly desirable.
