OVERALL POSITION OBJECTIVE
An electrical engineer with experience on electrical systems design, wiring design, should be familiar with various electrical calculations, switchgear selection and sizing, cable sizing, voltage drop calculations, wiring accessories, and have good knowledge on AutoCAD. Preferably from Electrical Engineering Design Consultant Companies and EPC companies.
In this role, designer will be:
- The designer to deliver high productivity and quality design by following the design standards.
- Experienced in Engineering Design Consultant Companies and EPC companies.
- Experienced in Electrical Design of Oil & Gas, Process and Chemical Industries.
- Experienced in Protection study, Load flow analysis, Functional Safety Design.
- Preparation of Electrical Equipment Specifications and Data Sheets.
- Understanding and preparation of schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Working on electrical design of control panels, cables and connection boxes.
- Preparation of General Arrangement (GA) drawings, Panel Component Layouts, Single Line Diagrams (SLD) using AutoCAD Electrical tool.
- Work according to project location standards & regulations
- Studying a client provided design brief & assessing project requirements to define scope of project
- Creating and modifying electrical instrument & equipment location drawings to ensure that it is safe, reliable and efficient as per Standards
- Ensure all relevant specifications, codes, standards and procedures and technical instructions from engineering are being correctly applied
- Deliver Projects in a safe manner while giving assurance to quality, time and cost.
Key Behaviours, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor of Engineering Graduation with 12 years of experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Deliver excellent cost effective designs
- Exposure in the electrical design, engineering arena
- Proficient in MS suite, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, E3-schematic tools
- Capability of working autonomously and in teams collaboratively
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise tasks
- Strong time management skills
- SME level understanding of the following systems
- AutoCAD Electrical
- E3-schematic
- Design and Engineering of 400kV, 132kV, 66kV, 33kV and 11kV GIS & AIS substations.
- Design and Engineering of electrical systems in Coal Mines.
- Design & Manufacture of 33kV, 11kV & LV switchgear panels.
- Design & Manufacture of control, protection, PLC & drive panels.
- Previous experience in a similar role (or) having hands-on experience on above mentioned systems
- Product Knowledge and Industry Experience
