About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Levies Officer who has strong interpersonal skills to join our team to collect the levy on building and construction projects which is invested back into the South Australian building and construction industry. The main functions of the role will be to:

• coordinate the day-to-day monitoring, management and analysis of services relating to the compliance of levies collected. 
• manage levy lodgement, investigate building and construction projects, statement of completions (SOC), review refund applications and external audits 
• ensure accurate and timely information is prepared and presented to the Director, Levies and Finance, including assistance with regular reporting requirements
• oversee building and construction projects and how they comply with the CITF Act 1993
• communicate effectively with a wide range of enquiries about levy compliance requirements and negotiate difficult queries
• liaise and be a point-of-contact for building and construction businesses, government departments, councils and homeowners regarding levy compliance
• assist stakeholders inputting levy projects into CITB database and making adjustments where required
• validate and reconcile financial information relating to levy projects 
• track and investigate tender data related to building and construction projects to ensure compliance with the CITF Act 1993
• coordinate levy project audits with external audit companies 

About You

We are looking for a proactive candidate with a high level of interpersonal skills and a proven customer service record who can communicate and liaise with a wide range of stakeholders and investigate data relating to building and construction projects. 

Ideally you will have:

• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
• Analytical skills to investigate, analyse and interpret data and reports
• Experience in the compliance against relevant legislation, standards, and best practice
• Experience reconciling financial information and reports
• Experience in customer services and conflict resolution
• Exposure to information systems, including databases 
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office 365 - Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Understanding of planning and conducting audits
