Senior Liability Underwriter

Your Role:
The primary purpose of this role is to assist in the development and accomplishment of goals established for profit, growth, service and producer relations for all classes of business within the Major Accounts Division for the northern region, while also contributing as a Senior Technical Underwriter.
Your Responsibilities:

• Assist in the positioning and negotiations associated with delivering profitable transactions to achieve financial plans for all applicable product lines in the Major Accounts Division.
• Select new risks and underwrites renewals for assigned book of business and/or for designated speciality classes or market segments.
• Identify, analyse and develop sources of desirable new business opportunities including cross-departmental opportunities.
• Build and maintain long term relationships with key producers and insureds; deals with producer principals on complex underwriting issues.
• Increase producers and insureds awareness of appetite, products and advantages through product presentations
• Provide technical leadership for underwriting/marketing in the Major Accounts Division including risk referrals and portfolio management
• Utilises statistical reports to monitor and observe service goals and makes constructive suggestions for improvement.
