Senior Management Accountant

Genesis Minerals are currently seeking an experienced Senior Management Accountant to join our Finance team. This is a permanent opportunity, primarily based in our Perth Corporate Office with regular visits to our Laverton Site Operation.
 
Reporting to the GM Finance, the successful incumbent will ensure effective compliance of the month end accounting procedures on site leading to accurate completion of management and operational reports within deadlines as well as providing continual assessment and analysis of direct spending, balance sheet and profitability in accordance with corporate policy and business objectives.
 
 The opportunity:

• Responsible for the month end process and ensure effective compliance and timely completion of the month end accounting procedures on site
• Preparation of month end reports and completion of balance sheet reconciliations
• Running cost review meetings with managers on site and perform cost analysis.
• Perform analysis and understand cost drivers that will contribute to cost control and performance improvement.
• Coordinate the budget/forecast process, preparation of analysis and reports to management.
• Assisting in preparing and maintaining financial models used for LOM, annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
• Assisting with internal and external audits and providing support for the compilation and timely submission of requested information.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of site reporting and finance processes to improve efficiency.
• Preparing and submitting royalty returns and fuel tax credits.
• Maintains the capital project register and provide assistance to departments with capital expenditure applications, monitoring and management of capital costs.
• Maintaining the fixed asset register for site.

What we will expect from you:

• Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance or equivalent
• CA/CPA qualification or equivalent (qualified/recently qualified)
• Pronto experience is desirable
• Excellent time management and organizational skills and ability to work under pressure
• Relevant resources industry work experience is desirable
• Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and Power Point)
