Senior Management Accountant

Accounting and Outsourcing Services Team BrisbaneWe are looking for an energetic and driven Senior Management Accountant with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience. As part of the Outsourcing team, you will provide outstanding services to local and international clients across a diverse range of industries. You will be a key contributor to our fast-growing business and will help to build our future as well as your own career. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who can delight clients through the provision of high quality, technology enabled solutions, who will become the main point of contact for the day-to-day delivery of services and can work under pressure to tight time frames.Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining the accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers, including bank reconciliations and processing of journals.
• Assist with banking and payment matters.
• Responding in a timely and accurate manner to client queries.
• Management accounts preparation and month end close processes.
• Preparation and lodgement of monthly/quarterly Business and Instalment Activity Statements.
• Assist with onboarding new clients and set up of systems, work papers and operating processes for new clients.
• Preparation of annual financial statements for Companies and Trusts.
• Providing information to the Business Services Team to assist with the preparation of income tax returns for Companies and Trusts.
• ATO registration matters.
• Keeping the manager and partner informed of progress and any issues arising.
• Communicating with and mentoring colleagues professionally and courteously.
• Communicating with clients and key business stakeholders on a variety of matters.
• Assist with practice management matters including team workflow and billings.

Qualifications and Skills:To be a successful Senior Management Accountant at Mazars Australia, we are looking for the following attributes:

• 3-5 years’ experience working in an accounting related role.
• CA/CPA (or equivalent) qualified or working towards.
• Good attention to detail and able to work quickly and accurately to tight time schedules.
• Experience of Xero or other cloud accounting packages would be beneficial.
• Strong numerical and IT skills.
• Sound Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Willing to learn and be keen and committed in a working environment.
