- Ensure the on time, consistently accurate execution of South32's global payroll related activities.
- Drive delivery and functional excellence across HR Services through performance metrics and reporting, ongoing trend analysis, identification of improvement opportunities and leading team rhythms and routines.
- Ensure HR Services operational risks and controls are managed in accordance with South32 Standards.
- Foster a culture that embraces customer service and operating discipline as well as promoting innovation, learning, development and continuous improvement.
- Sponsor initiatives across the HR Services team to optimise the utilisation of existing processes, practices, and systems through partnership with the HR Leadership Team, other HR representatives and South32's Global Business Services function.
- Provide key insights and support the delivery of the HR Systems roadmap for organisation.
- Experience in managing large, global teams.
- Experience/exposure in managing HR Services type activities.
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience in Operational management (demand, volume, cost, productivity, and capacity plans).
- Demonstrate experience with HR system and process design and implementation.
- Demonstrated knowledge in Australia/Asia, Southern Africa, North America, South America, Europe/UK statutory and legislative requirements (desirable).
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in risk management and ability to assess, evaluate and establish mitigations to operational issues and risks, including the Business Contingency and Disaster Recovery plans.
- Demonstrated focus on internal clients including relationships developed through anticipating, understanding, and responding client needs to ensure their ongoing satisfaction.
- Demonstrates experience in engaging and influencing others to create a collaborative environment with key stakeholders.
- Experience in mining, resources, or heavy industry sector.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business Management or HR preferred.
