Our Corporate Affairs team plays a key leading role in the external communications strategy and day-to-day operations of our firm, its partners and executives. We also play a key role in our three distinct businesses - Assurance, Financial Advisory and Consulting, blending technical skills and strategy to advise our internal functions and teams with spectacular results. And we’re looking for an all-rounder with strong communications skills to take our team to the next level.
Use the know-how you've gained in external affairs ideally with a mix of experience in Media/External Communications, corporate communications, professional services, political and/or regulatory roles, at an industry body or as a journalist to grow our Corporate Affairs team.
With new problems to solve, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to create change. We work from anywhere, so your strong communication skills will get a workout. As a senior member of the Corporate Affairs team, you’ll make a real impact in a workplace that’s human-led and tech-enabled.
In our Corporate Affairs team, you will:
Respond to media inquiries from metropolitan and global media outlets, and play a key role in broader major integrated communications campaigns
Help prepare world-class thought leadership and other high-impact campaigns for media coverage and external reach, and prepare partners and executives for interviews or external engagements
Help deliver on our digital and social media strategy, and monitor Australian and global media
Work alongside your colleagues in the media team as the primary points of contact for the media, and for the firm, its executives, staff and subject matter experts, contributing to a fast-paced proactive and reactive media cycle
Contribute to the implementation of our political and regulatory plan which considers current and future political and regulatory trends
Work with leaders across the firm to shape our views/position on political and regulatory issues currently being debated
Keep abreast of social, political and regulatory developments that are of relevance to our firm, our clients and our staff
Be a champion for Corporate Affairs function, always considering other parts of the team at all times.
More About You
You will have 6-8+ years plus experience in external affairs, ideally with a mix of experience in Media/External Communications, corporate communications, political and/or regulatory roles, industry body or as a journalist.
You have excellent verbal and written communications skills, including media release writing, copywriting and editing, and you are skilled in advising on, and dealing with, the practical application of media coverage.
You are interested in the type of work that PwC Australia does, and you are collaborative and enjoy working with people. You recognise that good internal stakeholder management is often the key to success.
You’re a problem solver by nature and relish the opportunity to work unsupervised and find your own solutions where good judgment and initiative is often what’s most important.
