The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager, People Advisory to join our team at AIA in Melbourne. You will lead our dedicated team of People Advisors who provide generalist advice, coaching and guidance to our leaders and employees on P&C matters. This role is accountable for Tier 0 (Self-service) and Tier 1 service model for People and Culture as well as provision of operational people services through Workday.
To do this successfully you will:
- Lead, develop and engage a small team that provides diverse advice, coaching, inquiry and operational services across the employment lifecycle
- Continue to develop, evolve and embed the P&C Service Model based on employee feedback as well as business needs
- Coach and mentor the People Advisory team on sophisticated P&C matters (including performance management, employee grievance) and continue to uplift team capability
- Create a work environment of collaboration, continuous improvement, dedication, and employee centric services
- Identify efficiency, operational and employee experience improvements and lead initiatives to implement these in alignment with improvement sprints and annual plans
- Actively promote the self-service elements of the delivery model and manager/employee self help, including collateral and embedding self service
- Maintain knowledge articles, process documentation and improvement using Workday help and Promapp for ease of use for AIA employees
- Ensuring all HR service level agreements are achieved and a consistent, timely service is provided
- Develop excellent relationships with key collaborators including P&C team, Group HR, Senior Leaders and employees.
- Proven experience leading a dedicated People Advisory team within a complex organisation
- Previous experience working within a similar HR Service Delivery model
- Extensive experience utilising Workday for managing HR data and business processes
- Previous business partnering experience will be advantageous
- Experience providing coaching to team and leaders to apply HR related policy and procedures
- Process improvement, lean or other continuous improvement approach
- Adaptability to change and needs experience in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence across all levels
- Ability to establish strong, credible working relationships quickly.
