The OpportunityThe Marketing Operations Team is a critical internal touchpoint across product, analyst, IT, sales and service and teams who ensures accurate and timely deal and campaign promotion, marketing planning and execution. The team is also an essential connection to facilitate communications, projects, and campaigns between Qantas Tours and TripADeal.
The Senior Marketing Operations Specialist leads the Marketing Operations Team in maintaining efficiency and proactivity within the broader Marketing department, and monitors and manages internal and external deadlines, documentation, creative and workflow for ongoing tactical initiatives and expansive, multi-channel campaigns. In addition to internal stakeholders, the Marketing Operations team collaborates with media, tourism bodies, merchants, and business partners, and provides assistance in the delivery of advertising collateral.
A Day in the LifeYou will be required to:
- Work collaboratively across internal and external teams to activate, deliver, and report on campaigns and competitions
- Suggest and implement ways to improve our tactical and campaign metrics
- Maintain accurate product and marketing schedule and ensure creative is designed, approved, and delivered on time
- Analyse marketing performance and deliver regular reports with practical insights
- Work with creative team to deliver TV Ads according to schedule, ensuring minimising budget overspend
- Effectively lead Marketing Operations team to work seamlessly within the marketing team and deliver projects and tasks on time
- Undertake continuous process improvement and documentation across marketing and other departments
- Allocate and track marketing activity costs, and audit and approve invoices in a timely manner
This permanent full time position is based 100% on-site (with no remote work options available) and based in our Byron Bay HeadQuarters, working Monday to Friday, 9 to 5pm. You will report to our Marketing Manager and may need to work at our Gold Coast or Brisbane office from time to time.
To be a front running candidate- Tertiary qualifications in marketing or a relevant discipline
- A minimum of 3 years marketing experience
- A minimum of 2 years campaign management experience
- Experience with traditional and digital media channels
- Experience with paid, owned and earned media channels
- Confident communicator with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Can do attitude and strong team player
- Illustrated operational/process excellence in marketing with aptitude to consider broader business implications and make suitable process improvements
- Strong process documentation expertise
- Highly organised disposition with the ability to multitask
- Solid understanding of marketing reporting tools, and Google Business Suite
- Marketing budget management, retail marketing experience, and marketing agency experience would be highly regarded
- The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Qantas background check
