Rockhampton Hospital is a 305-bed facility and is the main referral hospital for Central Queensland. Specialist Medical Services include Emergency Medicine, Intensive Care, Anaesthetics, Cardiology, General Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, Haematology, Medical Oncology, Palliative Care, Radiation Oncology, Rehabilitation Medicine, Renal Medicine, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, General Surgery, ENT Surgery, Orthopaedics, Urology, Ophthalmology and Psychiatry. There are also a range of clinical services provided on a visiting basis from tertiary hospitals in Queensland. The Cancer Care Unit provides care for local patients, with state-of-the-art equipment and services.
About the role:

This Department is led by 9.5 full time employees (FTE) Fellowship of Australasian College Emergency Medicine (FACEMs), 4.0 FTE Fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRMs) and 1.0 FTE Senior Medical Officer (SMO).

About you:
To be successful in this role you must have MBBS or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as well as Fellowship of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (FACEM) and registered as a Specialist in Emergency Medicine with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or Fellowship of either The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) or the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) with registration as a Specialist in General Practice with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Total remuneration value of up to $434,259 p.a. is comprised of:
- A salary between $176,802 - $204,206 (L13 - L18) p.a.
