About us:The Capricorn Coast Hospital is based in Yeppoon, a coastal town in Central Queensland, Australia. Yeppoon is renowned for its beaches, tropical climate, and the islands out on the bay.
About the role:The SMO provides professional leadership to and assists in, the professional development and support of medical staff including Registrars, Resident Medical Officers and Medical Students and other clinicians as required.
- Ensure compliance with relevant National Safety and Quality Health Services (NSQHS) Standards.
- Provision of evidence-based and quality clinical care of individual patients in all domains of medical practice.
- Commitment to maintain professional knowledge and skills by being actively involved in research activities and participation in College and Queensland Health prescribed continuing educational activities.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- MBBS or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Current ALS Certification. Enrolment and maintenance of ongoing CME program with the appropriate bodies.
- The appointee will be required to undergo a credentialing process and will be granted appropriate scope of clinical practice.
Salary information:
Total remuneration value of $341,035 p.a. (L14); $376,799 p.a. (L18); $446,762 p.a. (L25) is comprised of:
- A salary between $176,802 - $244,201 p.a. (L13 – L25)
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
