Alfred Mental & Addiction Health is responsible for the operation of services, which focus on people with a severe mental illness residing in the Inner South Eastern area of Melbourne.
The single most important goal of Alfred Mental & Addiction Health is to create an environment that facilitates clinical recovery, supports individual recovery efforts and strives to minimise service system barriers to the recovery process.
The Team
Our multidisciplinary team utilises a biopsychosocial model to provide centre based and outreach assessment, treatment, and support services to clients aged 25-65 years who experience a serious and/or enduring mental illness, and who require specialist clinical services.

What you’ll be doing
This role provides a perfect opportunity for an experienced Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) Grade 4 to develop your clinical and leadership skills while furthering your career in community Mental Health.
As a Senior Mental Health Clinician with the St Kilda Road Clinic team, you will work with an allocated client list, to provide clinical management, treatment and support services, as well providing discipline-specific input to the multidisciplinary team. You will also have opportunities to contribute to the development of their discipline, not only to the St Kilda Road Community Mental Health Team, but also within Alfred Psychiatry as a whole.
About you
- Approved tertiary qualifications and eligibility for membership of the Nurses and Midwifery Board via AHPRA
- Experience providing assessment and treatment of Mental Health disorders and alcohol and other drug disorders to young people and their families
- Australian working rights
- Current Victorian Driver's License
- Be willing to undergo a Background Check
