- Experienced and motivated to work within our PARC team you enjoy coaching and providing support to other workers.
- Additional attributes we are looking for include:
- Strong rapport building and communication skills
- Ability to think outside the box, problem solve and remain calm in a crisis
- Available to work flexible shifts, including weekends, with no overnight shifts necessary
- Experience in Care Coordination an advantage
- Diploma in Mental Health, Community Services, Social Work, Allied Health or other relevant qualification.
This role works as part of our team of highly skilled Mental Health Workers and in collaboration with the Clinical Multidisciplinary Team, including Psychiatrists, a Psychologist and Nurses. consists of an 8 bed short term, 5 bed extended stay option and a day program. This role will assist in supporting and coaching Mental Health workers with in the team as well as delivering individualised recovery orientated care to enable rather than do, to promote independence, development and confidence of individuals. Our success will enable them to have the voice and choice to thrive in their local communities.In addition this role entails:
- Leading therapeutic group activities and providing 1:1 support to visitors
- Assessment of individuals with a Mental Health nurse to determine suitability for PARC
- Delivering strength-based group content that is curated to the cohort of an ever-changing visitor group
- Developing collaborative risk management and mitigation plans
- Enhancing and promoting links with supports in the community, empowering connection
- Developing recovery goals and implementation steps to achieve set goals.
- Supporting planning and review, directing support and exit planning
