Job description

Working for one of Australia’s largest Coal Producers, based in the Bowen Basin Queensland working on the mine site. This is an opportunity to take your career to new heights. Objectives: 

  • Partnering with key operational staff to improve their underlying financial performance and resilience.
  • Working with the team to provide accurate and timely financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting output.
  • Working with the team to deliver robust and accurate business cases with business objectives.
  • The identification of continuous improvement opportunities
  • Understanding customer requirements and delivering value add services to the business.
  • Mentoring and developing Junior team members.
  • Following safety practices and procedures when undertaking work.
  • Implement systems and processes. 
About you:
  • Be proficient in SAP, Excel and XERAS.
  • Understanding of Unit Rates and Mining Cost Drivers.
  • Highly motivated, ability to problem solve and have a strong work ethic.
  • Must have a degree in commerce or accounting (or equivalent)
  • Hold CPA or CA qualifications (or in progress)
  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience in coal mining.
  • You will be results focused with a strong ability to implement successful change.
  • Possess relevant tertiary qualifications.
