Address Seeking a Grade 1 Mine Surveyor for a permanent role on a 12/9 roster Your new role The primary function of the Senior Mine Surveyor (Grade 1) is to support the Technical Services Team to develop, maintain and certify mine plans to the requirements of the legislation. What you'll need to succeed Key Duties
Prepare, maintain, and certify mine plans as required by the Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act (1999) and Regulations (2017).
Void Officer as per the Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act (1999) and Regulations (2017).
Ensure the grid system is maintained at the mine as required.
Maintain and validate survey database.
All underground surveys, including, but not limited to:
Survey mark-up of planned development
Planned drilling
Planned Diamond Drilling
Development pickups
Stope void survey (CMS)
Check surveys as the mine development advances
Assist with surface survey, including but not limited
Stockpile and dump pickups OH&S Obligations
Adhere to all site safety rules and Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act and Regulations.
Commit to maintaining health, safety and security standards and principles, both within own workplace and through the identification of potential risks throughout NQM Gold.
Demonstrate behaviours aligned with the NQM Gold values and Safety Principles
Maintain a positive attitude towards safety in the workplace and increase safety awareness, implement safety training and promotions and set an example for others.
Surface excavation pickups
Surface prism monitoring
Manage the surveyor function administrative requirements.
Maintain effective cost control measures in all areas of responsibility.
Conduct project work as required by the Mining Manager and to the agreed standard.
Support the Mining team with preparation of operational reports.
Assist as appropriate in the mine scheduling and forecasting process.
Monitor and manage all survey activities including personnel and safety-related activities and issues.
Report on survey activities to the Technical Service Manager
Develop budgets and forecasts relating to survey requirements.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date plans of the entire site to ensure all statutory obligations are met. Environmental Obligations
General Environmental Duty - not to carry out an activity that may cause harm without taking measures to prevent or minimise the harm and reporting to Pajingo Environmental Department.
Obligation to notify of any Environmental harm - to inform the Pajingo Environmental Department when/if environmental harm has occurred or might occur. Health, Safety, and Environmental Requirements
