Senior Mining Engineer - AT

INTERNAL VACANCYEXPRESSION OF INTEREST - SENIOR MINING ENGINEER - ATLASWe are inviting expressions of interest from current Tronox Eastern Operations employees who are interested in the role of Senior Mining Engineer based at Atlas but also supporting other Eastern Operations sites. We are looking for people with current Tronox experience, who can bring their experience to the Atlas mining team and support the continued growth of Eastern Operations. This role is a great 'stepping stone' role for personnel with the aim of moving into a Manager position.Reporting to the Mining Manager that Senior Mining Engineer will be accountable for setting daily priorities for the mining team and coordinating execution activities to facilitate achievable production targets. This is a site based bus in/bus out role working a 4on/3off roster (other roster options would be considered for the right candidate including intercity roster).Responsibilities include:

• Providing day-to-day operational direction to achieve required mining targets.
• Review daily/weekly/monthly schedule attainment for continuous improvement purposes.
• Ensures material balance requirements and movements are maintained.
• Plans, develops and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimise operating costs, and effect greater utilisation of labour and materials.
• Conduct medium and short-term planning and mine scheduling processes - with a window of 3-12 months.
• Contributes to the creation of the budget physicals, forecasts and budget.
• Project Management of satellite orebodies as required with the introduction of additional ore reserves in the medium to short term plans.

About YouWe are currently looking for applicants who are competent in the following areas:

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering/Geology or associated.
• Hold a Quarry Managers certificate of competency (NSW) or currently working towards obtaining or be willing to work towards obtaining.

• Knowledge of managing people and resources effectively with effective team building techniques.
• Experience developing people to be empowered, adaptable and who take ownership.
• Capable of driving an inclusive interdependent safety culture.
• Knowledge of working in a high hazard environment.
• Contract management experience.
