About the Role:
We're on the lookout for a passionate and driven Senior Occupational Therapist to become part of our team in the Rotorua area. In this position, you'll directly report to the Rotorua Clinic Manager. You'll play a crucial role in the collaborative Rotorua/Bay of Plenty team, fostering strong connections with our broader Bay of Plenty and Waikato teams. The job is a full-time commitment of 40 hours weekly, though we're open to discussing part-time options for the right fit. Equipped with thorough training and ongoing support, the ideal candidate will deliver an array of community-based services. This includes offerings in private hospital settings, clients' residences within the community, and fulfilling contracts like Stay at Work (SAW), Training for Independence (TI), Social Rehabilitation Needs Assessment (SRNA), as well as Concussion contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments funded by private clients and ACC.
- Delivering patient education, training, treatment, and rehabilitation across various community environments.
- Offering mentorship, supervision, and assistance to junior colleagues.
- Engaging in initiatives to enhance and expand TBI Health's assessment and rehabilitation services in the Rotorua/Taupo area.
