Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive occupational therapy services to patients across all industries. The Senior Occupational Therapist will work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans that promote independence, improve quality of life, and enhance overall well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities
- Develop and implement individualised treatment plans that address patients' specific needs and goals
- Provide ongoing evaluation and modification of treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation specialists, to ensure coordinated and effective care
- Educate patients and their families on strategies for improving function and managing symptoms
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes
- Provide supervision and mentorship to junior occupational therapy staff as needed
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and other departmental activities as assigned
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in occupational therapy, with a focus on adult rehabilitation
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare technology
