Due to internal staff movements, our Durack clinic is on the look-out for our new Senior OT who may also wish to take the next step into a Team Lead role.

As a team of 13 allied health professionals, we are the largest private paediatric provider in the territory, supporting children and their families with innovative service models, whilst working collaboratively with local organisations and communities. 

With clinics all over Australia, our Northern Territory clinic has a long history spanning over 15 years! Senior Occupational Therapist / Team Leader

As the Senior OT Team Leader of this multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for the success of your own caseload as well as leading and mentoring a team of Occupational Therapists.

Your purpose as the role is to ensure exceptional outcomes for our young clients in a well-supported team environment. Drawing on your allied health experience you will be a proactive, solution-focused, professional and dedicated to bringing the best for your clients, families, staff and the organisation.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Day to day overseeing of a leading and innovative team.
  • Apply and extend your extensive clinical knowledge through professional development with staff,
  • Ensure high level professionalism and ethical conduct,
  • Partner with clients through their “Therapy Journey”, our stepped-out pathway to exceptional outcomes.
  • Be a part of our partnership with IAHA, supporting the next generation of Indigenous allied health professionals and Allied Health assistants.
  • Utilise the next generation of client management systems – no more clunky programs or handwritten notes!
  • And much much more to ensure a successful and rewarding team, clinic and clients.

About you 

  • You are naturally driven! A person who thrives on seeing others successful succeed.
  • Approachable and empathetic towards those we assist.
  • Naturally, you have a love for working with children.  You will have extensive experience working in early intervention in either private or public.
  • You have grown over the years in your clinical experience and are perhaps currently working as an OT / Senior OT who is wanting to take the next step into a Team Leader role whilst still drawing on your clinical experience.
  • Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to engage with our indigenous community.
  • You love what you do, and this shows in your ability to engage and build relationships.
  • Above all, you are ready to take on this opportunity and grow as a leader in your field.
  • Hold academic qualifications together with professional registration (AHPRA).
  • Lastly, you are enthusiastic and willing to jump in and hit the ground running!
