About the role:
As the Senior Offshore Wind Energy Engineer, you will be responsible for the development, operation, and maintenance of Offshore Wind generation assets. Leading engineering activities, such as feasibility studies, project execution, and technical assessments, you will optimise performance and reliability. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure effective coordination and delivery of Offshore Wind projects while adhering to safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Why this role matters?
- Perform various functions as part of the Technical Support team, including relationship management, due diligence advice, and wind assessment for offshore projects
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of onshore and offshore project sites, analysing production variables and assessing feasibility
- Analyse large datasets to confirm site suitability and evaluate project technologies for prevailing conditions
- Collaborate with Project Managers to develop scopes, budgets, and optimised layouts for new opportunities
- Generate concise technical reports, stay updated on market trends, and ensure compliance with engineering standards
- Identify improvement opportunities, share knowledge, and contribute to engineering policies and processes
What will you bring?
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the Offshore Wind industry, with deep knowledge of Offshore Wind projects including Balance of Plant systems such as floating structures, anchoring and power evacuation
- Specific knowledge in relation to at sea deployment and portside requirements
- Engineering qualifications relevant to the role
- Strong expertise in feasibility analysis, planning, construction, operation, and maintenance, with an understanding of commercial and technical risk
- Demonstrated capabilities in technology assessment, selection, concept design, and detailed specification for wind projects
- Ability to work effectively in a high-performing team or autonomously, with a commitment to continuous improvement and a strong learning orientation
- Fluency in written and verbal English, along with mentoring and coaching capabilities
- Onshore wind experience would also be highly regarded
