Senior Payroll Advisor

• ASIC is seeking a full time Senior Payroll Advisor to join their People and Development Team
• Permanent position based in Brisbane

The team
People & Development (P&D) are responsible for delivering people initiatives that are aligned with business strategy. The team delivers initiatives, advice and services that support Senior Executives, Managers and team members during their careers with ASIC.
The People & Pay Services team is the first port of call for advice around people, processes, policies and pay. The team works collaboratively to process the fortnightly payroll and to educate ASIC on all things Remuneration, including superannuation and salary packaging.
The role

• Work with the People & Pay Services Team in the delivery of advice and accurate payroll services.
• Processing of all components of the fortnightly payroll and related functions.
• Process complex and accurate pay and entitlements in accordance with legislation and policy.
• Assist with training and support to the payroll team members.
• Produce and check reports and data for key stakeholders as required.
• Assist with governance checks to eliminate payroll risks and ensure robust controls are in place.
• Support the Team Leader & Senior Manager in managing the remuneration for senior executives.
• Manage workers compensation payments to ensure they are accurately paid.

About you

• Ability to interpret and apply legislation and policy to undertake complex payroll calculations.
• Demonstrated experience in Human Resources, specifically in the remuneration and benefits and/or payroll fields.
• Demonstrated high quality written and oral communication skills, paired with excellent relationship management skills.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to see trends and patterns, and high attention to detail.
• Sound understanding of compliance and legislative guidelines for payroll and remuneration, including salary packaging, superannuation and taxation.
• Experience with PeopleSoft or a similar large payroll system.
