Additional information can be found at: www.chubb.com.Your RoleTo provide meaningful, insightful and timely actuarial advice to International Personal Lines (IPL) Management teams and Actuaries in Australia & New Zealand.Your Responsibilities
  • Undertake detailed analytics and preparation of analysis for pricing, portfolio monitoring and reserve reviews of key IPL portfolios for A&NZ Senior Actuaries and Product Managers to assist in the production of these reviews.
  • Undertake analysis and modelling to assist Actuaries in production of the Annual Business Plan Loss Ratios for IPL portfolios.
  • Develop improved data and information management dashboards to enable enhanced monitoring and management of the business.
  • Provide pricing recommendations and insights to internal stakeholders, reflecting competitive and commercial considerations to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Develop and implement best practice pricing models, including claims, quote conversion, customer retention and pricing scenarios.
  • Take ownership of and continual refinement of the rating and pricing models, by utilising advanced analytics techniques, extensive data and relevant industry leading tools/technologies.
  • Monitor the performance of implemented initiatives to support continuous refinement of pricing models and pricing strategy.
  • Contribute to the development of product strategy and support its implementation.
  • Identify opportunities to drive innovation and make improvements in processes, products and services.
  • Implement the pricing governance framework by performing and continually improving controls and governance around pricing processes.
  • Participate in the cross-product natural peril analytics project
Qualifications:Your Skills & Experience
  • An aspiring actuary who is willing to take ownership of their work, and being a point of contact of all actuarial matters related to our Personal Lines portfolio.
  • Strong data capabilities, attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to manage competing projects and meet deadlines. Effectively communicate actuarial analysis and concepts to customers with no actuarial background.
  • Strong in MS Office applications, SAS / SQL /R/ Python programming, Statistical tools: Emblem / Radar skills desirable.
  • Good GLM/GBM and Machine learning experience
  • Minimum 8 years relevant actuarial work experience in insurance industry.
  • Tertiary degree in a mathematics related field.
  • Newly or nearly qualified actuary.
  • A person who is keen on natural peril/climate research
