About the Role
This is a Permanent Full-Time position at 80 hours per fortnight within the Pharmacy Department
You will be responsible for:
- The Co-ordination and supervision of the provision of Clinical Trials pharmacy services to ensure access to Clinical Trials for all eligible patients of RCH.
What you'll achieve:
- Maintain and develop relationships with medical and technical staff within RCH, The Department of Paediatrics (University of Melbourne) and the Murdoch Children's Research Institute
- Prepare and retain quotations and invoicing of Clinical Trials in conjunction with Murdoch Children's Research Institute and the RCH finance department.
- Involvement in the hospital Drug Trial Sub-Committee and the RCH Human Research Ethics Committee
Classification for this position will range from SX6 - SX81 (plus superannuation)
Your skills and experience:
- Registered to practice as a pharmacist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency & name appears on the register of the Pharmacy Board of Australia
- At least 8 years' experience in hospital pharmacy - Australian or similar setting
- Previous experience in a leadership role within a pharmacy team or significant experience in a specialist area of practice
- Postgraduate qualifications or undertaking a postgraduate course in a relevant discipline.
- Appropriate experience in Clinical Trials (highly desirable)

About The Pharmacy Department
We are a team of around 70 staff including pharmacists, technicians, and administrators. Our supportive and collaborative teams include Outpatients, Children's Cancer Centre, Clinical Pharmacy, Clinical trials, and Medicines Information, HiTH and Sterile Services and the Pharmacy Business Unit.
