The expectation is that for most people, working life at Hogarth will involve working from office (Hogarth studio or partner agency) at least 3 days per week.Please speak to the Talent Acquisition team to find out more information.ABOUT THE ROLEThe role of the Senior Photographer is a critical role within one of Hogarth's Content Studios that services a major Hogarth client in the retail, homewares and fashion category. The role will involve leadership of the photography team that produces a series of simple and complex projects, as well as hands-on responsibility for shoots along with supervision of the workflow from creative through to shoot and Post. You will focus on building client relationships internally, to ensure the creation of best-in-class imagery across your client remit, ensuring that expectations are managed and delivered.As a recognised Subject Matter expert, you will help to train and develop more junior Photographers within your immediate Content team and the broader Hogarth business.The role reports to the Content Studios Director, and will collaborate with creatives, stylists, shooting directors and post-production to ensure projects are delivered to a high standard.WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Ensure that all projects follow defined workflows, including folder structure and naming convention guidelines
  • Partner with the Producer and Stylist teams to review all of your assigned briefs and confirm that they are achievable/suggest creative alternatives where necessary
  • Maintain constant communication with the Content Studio leadership and relevant Creative collaborators
  • Manage the smooth-running of the day's shoot: maintaining creative and consistent lighting, managing the schedule and keeping the client well informed
  • Ensure the Studio's photographic equipment and kit are well maintained and in good working order
  • Develop long lasting and trusted relationships with relevant client contacts and creative agency partners, including Brand Managers, Creatives and Project Managers
  • Make sure that the assigned projects are shot to a high creative standard, to client brief and within the schedule you've created
  • Be a support, and source of training, for Junior members of the Photography team
  • QC all your photography at the end of the shoot day before submitting to Post
  • Play an active role in defining problems, recommending solutions and establishing resourceful conclusions both internally and externally with the client and Agency
  • Continually defines ways to increase client satisfaction and deepen client relationships
WHAT IT TAKES
  • Extensive experience in a photography/moving image department, be it studio, content or production company
  • Experience & interest in a breadth of photography: including fashion, ecom, retail, beauty, food, water, and product
  • Good technical understanding of Still workflows, and a demonstrable interest in how technology can augment processes and quality of output
  • Management of effective and lasting client relationships, both internally & externally
  • Great organisational skills and written communication
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Default to pro-active not re-active
