Senior Planning Engineer - Civil

Permanent Senior Planning Engineer Civil position (based in either Brisbane, Townsville, Clare, Rockhampton, Mareeba, Moranbah or Mackay).

About you:

Reporting to the Regional Planning Manager North, your primary responsibility will be to deliver strategic asset management and technical support services across Sunwater’s Operations and contribute civil engineering knowledge to the dam safety inspection program and reports. Other key responsibilities will include:-

• You will develop full lifecycle asset management plans for civil assets to maximise return on investment through the balance of risk, cost, performance, social and environmental sustainability.
• You will develop the planned maintenance civil project specifications, budget estimates and business cases with other teams and business partners.
• Provide asset civil engineering support to identify risks and opportunities and enable the continual improvement of Sunwater’s infrastructure performance.

You will bring:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Planning Engineer Civil to participate in a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and technical officers.  You will have the ability to develop and implement innovative and effect asset management strategies that deliver whole of life, customer focussed and sustainable operations.  You will have sound knowledge and effective application of relevant legislative, statutory and industry standards relating to the design and maintenance of civil infrastructure assets.  In addition, you will have:-

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering
• Registration as a Professional Engineer in Queensland
• Class ‘C’ driver’s licence for a manual vehicle
• Well developed interpersonal skills including consultation, negotiations and relationship building
• Demonstrated ability to work and manage own objectives efficiently with minimal supervisory oversight
• Delivery of asset and facility inspection programs and reports
