Following exciting growth plans, we are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our team based in Carole Park, on either a Full Time or Part Time basis.
About the role:
The Electrical Engineer will be a part of our Research and Development team. There will be a variety of work and collaboration required with multi-function teams within the business. The primary responsibilities will consist of, but not limited to the following:
- Design and improvement of new and existing PCB’s, embedded system firmware and wiring harnesses. Integration of our electrical systems with larger projects.
- Undertake Electrical Engineering design from conception to commercialisation.
- Peer review and approve detailed electrical designs.
- Provide constructive process improvement inputs into the ongoing operations as part of the engineering team.
- Perform testing and commission of new systems.
- Research, development, drafting and reviews of electrical systems.
About you:
The ideal candidate will have broad knowledge and skillset in Electrical Engineering to cover most of, or all the mentioned tasks above, paired with the willingness to learn and show initiative. If you think you possess the below attributes, please apply.

- Essential: Qualification or currently studying Electrical Engineering.
- Essential: Ability to show that you have completed a project from start to finish. “Concept to Commercialisation”
- Experience with Altium (or other PCB design software).
- Fluent in C or other low level programming languages
- Experience using git. Good branching and commit log habits.
- Experience with low-level communications protocols (e.g. i2c, modbus, rs485, canbus).
- Experience with designing electrical circuit protection.
- C or Assembler in an embedded environment, know how to implement efficient algorithms with less than a kilobyte of RAM.
- Possess problem solving and analytical skills when it comes to debugging and diagnosing software and hardware issues.
- Efficient communicator who can interact with not overly technical people at times and get a technical point across with minimal loss in translation.
- Self-starter with good work ethics, attention to detail and dependability. Our solutions need to work reliably, not race ahead and crash.
BreatheSafe Hours of Work
- 6.30am – 3.45pm Monday to Thursday
- 6.30am – 12.30pm Friday
- Every second Friday off (long weekend)
