The Senior Plant Inspector will play a critical role in our operations by overseeing the inspection and integrity management activities of our oil and gas facilities. This position requires a thorough understanding of industry standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and optimize asset performance.
The Senior Plant Inspector will lead a team of inspectors, coordinate inspection schedules, and collaborate with various departments to implement effective inspection strategies.
Key responsibilities include:
* Coordinating and executing in-service inspection and NDT activities across the facilities.
* Liaising with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering personnel, as needed, to coordinate, offer
technical support, and conduct inspection activities on the offshore facilities.
* Contributing to shutdown inspection activities, assisting in the overall execution of inspections, and
ensuring timely delivery of inspection services to meet shutdown schedules.
* Providing input for the development of optimized inspection philosophies, strategies, and plans aimed
at reducing the impact of inspections on plant availability, all while ensuring integrity is upheld.
* Contributing to the creation of streamlined inspection philosophies, strategies, and plans aimed at
minimizing the effect of inspections on plant availability, all while ensuring integrity is maintained.
* Supervising and mentor team members, fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment.
Key qualifications, skills and experience required:
* Certification in pressure equipment inspection (such as Senior AICIP or equivalent) and NDT (for
instance, AINDT or equivalent) is required.
* A diploma or higher education in materials or mechanical engineering would be advantageous.
* Knowledge of relevant International, Australian and industry inspection standards and regulations
relating to pressure systems highly desirable.
* Have suitable transportation to and from the Ichthys LNG Onshore Processing Facility located at Bladin
Point.
* Current Australian driver's license
* Strong interpersonal skills in fostering teamwork, collaboration, and diversity.
* Highly accomplished communication and presentation skills.
* Respect and understanding of other cultures.
