As part of the Application Management team, the Platform Reliability and Engineering Team manages the ability of Retail Tech Applications across all portfolios to host their services across Dot Hosting Platform (DHP). The team provides operational delivery management and the guard rails within each applications requirement to function optimally on DHP. You will create, manage, and optimise the platform used to power our entire business.
You’ll have the opportunity to take responsibility for continuous improvement, ensuring our systems are simpler, faster, and more secure. We’re interested in hearing from people who are:
- Operating a cloud platform across multiple businesses for Retail Tech at scale with automation and high availability
- Supporting 24x7 operations of production cloud environments
- Including monitoring, incident response, answering service requests, and execution of changes
- Understanding of SRE philosophy, principles and practices
- Having hands on experience working with CI/CD tools.
- Able to identify, propose and execute improvements to performance and scalability bottlenecks in our current Systems/Infrastructure on CBA Cloud infrastructure
- Measuring systems' health, scalability and performance metrics and identify areas of improvement.
- Utilizing your knowledge of code to solve broad operational challenges within Protocol & Cloud Infrastructure
- Defining SLOs, SLIs, monitoring, alerting and incident response practices
- Experienced in collaborating and working closely with product/software engineers and product engineers to
- Able to operate solutions balancing feature velocity and keeping production up and running.
Tech skills
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team.
- Experience as an operation and SRE engineer in an IT environment.
- Trained or Experienced and Certified in at least one of the following cloud platforms: · Amazon Web Services (AWS) particularly CloudWatch and Systems Manager
- Cloud systems configuration management tools
AWS CloudFormation
- Terraform · .
Net framework and IIS.
- Deep experience working on automation, use of AWS CLI and also AWS CloudWatch.
- Open Telemetry implementation, setup, and configuration.
