Senior / Principal Analyst - Decision Support & Analysis (Eoi)

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and highly experienced Senior or Principal Analyst to provide evaluation support to the Decarbonisation Project team in Fortescue. 

Reporting to the Manager – Decision Support and Analysis, within the Fortescue Decarbonisation team, the Senior / Principal Analyst will support decision making and evaluation processes across the portfolio of Fortescue’s decarbonisation projects. 

We are seeking a key participant in a high performing team who consistently demonstrates leadership, is proactive and takes ownership of their outputs, is courageous and will engage in constructive conflict with the view to continually improve objectives and outcomes.

• Evaluation and modelling support to the teams within the decarbonisation portfolio that are evaluating green alternatives across various areas of Fortescue’s operation. Including power generation, mining, rail and seaborne equipment fleets.
• Leading the decarbonisation, integrated cost and energy forecasting processes and being the custodian of the evaluation tools used.
• Facilitate the integration of decarbonisation cost forecasts into the broader Fortescue planning processes.
• Providing high quality analysis and presentations to be used in executive level projects updates and capital approval processes.

• Qualifications in Commerce, Economics, Business or Engineering
• 5-10+ years relevant experience performing modelling and analysis in a business planning and/or investment evaluation environment.
• Extensive experience in a mining, resources, or energy environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to be agile and resilient when managing diverse workloads with multiple priorities and delivering high quality work on time.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
