Job Description - (Up to 100% work from home)
We have a strong pipeline of projects in the design, development and construction of defence, mining and land development projects in Australia and overseas. We are currently recruiting a skilled Senior or Principal Civil Designer to join our dynamic Engineering team. As a key contributor, you will play a crucial role in project development, ensuring high-quality designs and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Civil Team Lead, this position will involve but not be limited to the following duties:
- Preparing conceptual and detailed designs using Civil 3D (earthworks, erosion & sediment control, road infrastructure, drainage, sewerage & water networks for Defence, mining, urban and land development projects)
- Interpret civil design requirements of Federal, State and Local Government Authorities and private sector clients
- Engage with clients to address project requirements, ensuring the delivery of expert and high-quality service
- Collaborate with Engineers and Project Managers to reach project milestones
- Liaise and coordinate designs with associated disciplines such as transport, planning, survey, traffic, electrical, mechanical and landscaping
- Ensuring adherence to Quality Assurance (QA) and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) standards
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
We expect the successful candidate will possess experience and qualifications as follows:
- A minimum of 8 years of Australian civil design experience.
- Strong knowledge of Australian, State and local government standards for roadworks, stormwater drainage, water and wastewater design.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office suite (experience in Civil Site Design, InfraWorks and/or Navisworks highly regarded but not essential)
- Proven experience in successfully leading civil design projects (experience in defence, fuel and/or mining projects highly regarded but not essential)
- Possession of a current 'C' Class Driver's license
