We are currently seeking a Health, Safety and Environment Lead, who will provide subject matter expertise to the Honeywell Building Solutions Business across Central West District and be the key point of contact. Reporting to the APAC HSE Director, you will assist Business Managers and Leaders in delivering the HSE Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and drive the company's safety cultures. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop & deploy in partnership with the HBT HSE teams subject matter experts, the district strategy for HSE, Business Continuity, Office & low risk sites (OLRS), Sustainability.
  • Support a resiliency program across the district and align improvements with the global HBT plan
    Proactively lead HSE elements for all transition activities within the region.
  • Participate with management teams in the development and implementation of strategic health, safety and environmental annual plans, including actions required to maintain HSE Certification to ISO45001 and ISO 14001.
  • HSE oversight of all HBT and non-HBT employees at the various OLRS (office & low risk site) locations.
  • Completing timely HSE Management system verifications and self-assessments ensuring continued growth of management system deployment and maturity.
  • Facilitate the deployment of the strategic plan (STRAP) & the annual operating plan (AOP) for HSE performance across the district, including use of tools such as the X-Matrix, A3 plans & lean principles.
  • Conduct the structured investigation and analysis of incidents (including significant and other reportable incidents), the identification of system causes, and the development of evidence-based recommendations, to improve systems and prevent incident recurrence, and to meet the reporting requirements of safety regulators.
  • Where required, ensure representation at safety committee meetings and interest groups, and ensure that effective safety consultation is taking place and being incorporated into policies and practices.
  • Support all tender work and motivate employees to achieve their monthly and annual HSE targets
  • Support sub-Contractor management initiatives and risk assessment initiatives
  • Coordination of Field HSE team members and site HSE roles as assigned
  • Ensure Honeywell and Customer HSE requirements are met for all Projects and Contracts

Key Experience & Capabilities:

  • Knowledgeable in HSE compliance, emerging regulations, and trends
  • Experience with ISO Certifications.
  • Lead auditor qualifications – Internal minimum
  • Strong influencing skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience working with service, process, facilities maintenance, or construction industries desired.
  • Cert IV TAE – Training & Assessment
  • Proficient in general computer software use – word, excel, PowerPoint

Education / Qualifications

  • Master BSc / MSc or other equivalent degree in HSE or Engineering
  • Diploma HSE minimum (must be completed by end of 2022 if not held)
  • Experience Minimum 5 years’ experience in driving and deploying HSE in a business.
  • Previous leadership/manager role
